Adobe Acrobat

Achilles uses Adobe Acrobat to compress documents and keep the format the same across a number of different systems, which speeds up download and printing. To read Adobe Acrobat files you will need to download the Acrobat reader software. This is available from the Adobe website. The Acrobat files on this site can only be viewed with Adobe Acrobat 3.0 and above.

Browsers

To view the Achilles site at its best ensure you have a screen resolution of 1024 by 768 pixels capable of 16 bit colour (65,536 colours), however screen resolution at a minimum of 800 by 600 pixels is sufficient. A warning message will be presented to the user if a lower resolution is used.

The TransQ questionnaire is optimized for browser IE, (Internet Explorer) 6. Some functions only work in IE 5.5 or higher.

Accessibility

The Achilles website is designed to be available to all web users. All images carry a text description behind them for people browsing using sound only. Large font options are available, but will require the user to scroll around the page more than a user with the default settings.
