First-Ever Achilles Global Users Event Opens Doors To Non-Customers
Demand for Achilles' first-ever international conference in central London this spring is on the up - and the pressure isn't only coming from existing customers.

Other interested companies and organisations are also expressing a keen interest, and as a result, Achilles has decided to throw the event open to anyone who wishes to attend.

"We've had interest and bookings from buyers, but it's clear the event is attracting other parties too, so we decided to widen our invitation to include not only our customers, but other companies," explained Marketing Manager Maura Cordell.
 
Managing risk in the supply chain, sustainable procurement in action, CSR issues and procurement best practice are all included on the menu for the two-day Global User Conference, which takes place on April 9-10th, 2008. There will also be workshops and round table sessions, with a special focus on the oil and gas, construction, utility and transport sectors.

Speakers lined up to take part in the event include senior representatives from a range of companies - including Aker Kvaerner, BP, Chilean mining company Codelco, Metro de Madrid, Network Rail, StatoilHydro, Skanska and the universities of Oxford and Nottingham.

The conference is designed to meet the needs of Achilles' existing customers around the world as well as provide topical content to organisations outside the Achilles 'family'. It will provide an ideal opportunity not only to learn more about the current issues that face today's procurement professionals, but also to network and share best practice.
